Strong Futures Scholarship Recipient Guidelines
The Strong Futures Scholarship exists to remove barriers and create access to programs that build confident, capable, and resilient people. Scholarship recipients are expected to honor this opportunity through consistent participation, respectful conduct, and commitment to growth.
Purpose of the Scholarship
The Strong Futures Scholarship removes financial and access barriers for children and adults who demonstrate need and a commitment to growth. By creating access to mentorship, goal coaching, and development opportunities, we help participants build confidence, character, and life skills for sustained success—A Foundation for What’s Next.
Participation & Attendance
Scholarship recipients are expected to participate consistently and remain engaged in scheduled programs, mentorship, and goal coaching.
Participants should communicate with Strong Futures in advance when unable to attend.
Participation and communication are essential. Repeated absences may result in a review of scholarship eligibility.
Effort, Attitude & Behavior
Recipients are expected to participate with effort, respect, and a commitment to growth.
Participants must demonstrate positive character and respect for mentors, goal coaches, staff, peers, and facilities.
Bullying, harassment, discrimination, or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated.
Family Commitment & Communication
Participants and families are expected to actively support consistent participation, personal growth, and progress toward goals.
Open and timely communication with Strong Futures is expected regarding attendance, concerns, or changes that may affect participation.
Transportation
- Reliable transportation to and from program activities is preferred.
- Families are responsible for ensuring their child arrives on time and is picked up promptly.
Representation of Strong Futures
- Scholarship recipients and families represent Strong Futures both inside and outside of program activities.
- Conduct that reflects negatively on the mission, values, or reputation of Strong Futures may result in a review of scholarship status.
Duration, Funding & Review of Scholarship
- Scholarships are awarded for a defined period and are not guaranteed to renew automatically.
- Scholarships are subject to availability of funds.
- Continued eligibility is based on attendance, behavior, effort, adherence to these guidelines, and ongoing funding availability.
- Strong Futures reserves the right to modify, pause, or discontinue scholarships at its discretion.
Program Policies & Requirements
Participants and families must complete and maintain all required forms, waivers, and program documentation.
All participants are expected to follow Strong Futures safety, conduct, and program guidelines throughout the scholarship period.
Gratitude & Growth Mindset
- While financial assistance is provided, recipients are encouraged to approach the scholarship with gratitude, responsibility, and a commitment to growth.
- Participants and families may be invited to provide feedback or testimonials to support future scholarship opportunities.
